Adventures in Rockport, TX

We moved to Rockport, TX about a week ago. We found this RV Park (Watersedge RV Park) on one of our trips to explore the surrounding areas and were not actively looking for a place to stay because we had found one just outside the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi. We both loved this place and decided on the spot to reserve a spot. Fortunately, they had one available. So, here we are. The second picture is on the pier looking back towards the RV Park.
This area is one of the areas in the United States that is loaded with either migrating birds or ones that remain here year around. Bird watchers come from far and wide to view the rare birds such as the whooping crane. We have yet to see one, but plan on taking a tour soon to be able to see these marvelous birds.
We are lucky to be able to have the Brown Pelican, which were on the endangered list until just recently. Also, we can see the American White Pelican and the Great Blue Heron, to name a few. The third picture is of the two different kinds of Pelicans posing for a picture.
We went fishing today. Jim caught a really small fish and of course threw it back and I had a huge crab on my line but lost it when brought it to the surface. While out there we saw some Dolphins and got some great shots of the Pelicans.
The first picture is of Pelicans flying overhead.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hey Aunt Diane, just wanted to say I really like the blog. I hope Texas is treating you good. If you ever want a change of environment, come for a visit. I think the pacific northwest will be enough change for you. Keep up the good blogging until then. Talk to you later,
Chris
